Overview
ME is an elderly woman with a diagnosis of dementia. She values her personal space and dignity and can take a while to trust a person. She responds well to positivity and encouragement. Her interests include church, singing, Nollywood, highlife music, quiz shows, food, and animals.
A Personal Assistant is needed to support with the following tasks: managing personal care (including painting nails), dressing appropriately, ironing, cleaning and tidying, and managing nutrition (including cooking basic lunches).
Experience working with people with dementia is desirable. A patient, gentle, respectful, and attentive attitude is essential.
Up to 23 hours per week (Monday to Sunday, flexible times and days); £15.30 p/hour
Please note: the selected candidate will need to provide two references (one must be professional) and will need to have an Enhanced DBS Check from the last 6 months or be willing to do a new check.
