Overview
We are seeking a skilled worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the processes of manufacturing double glazed units and experience in a warehouse environment. Experience in lead work and Georgian bars is essential for this role, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. Opportunities for installing sealed units, windows & doors.
Duties
- cut stock sheet glass by hand as per project requirements.
- Assemble components and ensure they are ready for further processing or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Inspect materials for quality assurance before and after procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with double glazing, especially lead and film work bevels etc.
- Strong knowledge off all glass patterns and glass types
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in cutting tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, capable of standing for long periods and lifting materials as required.
- Will be required to attend to customers both in the workshop and on the phone
