Cheshire East Council has an interesting range of programmes and projects in our ambitious transformation programme. We are looking for Project Managers who want to make a difference for our residents, our economy and the council itself. As a project manager you will be the linchpin in delivering significant change in our services. You will be someone with experience of delivering complex change, ideally in the public sector or with relevant transfer skills and experience from other sectors. You will be someone who can help others find workable solutions to problems and keen to work in an environment where there is an appetite for change.
You will be part of our Transformation and Improvement Service, which provides capacity to deliver transformation projects across the council. We are in a significant period of change aimed at strengthening our leadership capacity and capability, modernising services and ensuring long-term financial resilience. At the same time, Cheshire East is preparing to work closely with the emerging Combined Authority, creating new opportunities to shape regional growth and collaboration.
You will be collaborative and influential, able to build relationships across organisational boundaries, negotiate effectively and bring people with you through the lifecycle of your project. Experience of leading large-scale projects in the public sector or similarly complex environments will be highly valued, alongside a clear understanding of how to balance financial outcomes with service improvement.
