Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Implantologist to join our team on a visiting basis. The job involves replacing existing services and is likely to develop to approx 1 day per week. The successful candidate will provide complex implant work eg full arches, sinus and complex augmentation, and whole mouth with and without immediate loading. The candidate would be expected to work closely with our on-site lab and existing team of technicians, dentists (with limited implant experience) and management. The successful candidate would also be expected to provide mentorship when on-site.
Everything the candidate will need (equipment/consumables etc) will be provided by the practice. which is very well equipped.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental implant procedures, including planning, placement, and restoration, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Utilise CAD technology for precise implant planning and surgical guides.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ oral anatomy, including the interpretation of medical imaging such as CBCT scans.
- Collaborate with dental teams to develop customised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and treatment options, fostering a supportive environment for patient engagement.
Experience
- Proven experience in dental implantology, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and restorative techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of human anatomy relevant to implant placement, including bone structure and soft tissue considerations.
- Familiarity with medical imaging modalities such as CBCT scans for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Certification or postgraduate training in implantology is highly desirable.
- Certification in the provision of Intra-venous sedation would also be a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients.
