We are looking for a highly motivated and experience deputy manager who can assist the Manager to run a very busy nursery, The role is full time/ hours negotiable. You must have Deputy manager experience and a sound knowledge of OFSTED.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of our nursery and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in early childhood education, and a passion for working with children. As Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing staff, overseeing childcare practices, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and parents.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver high-quality childcare and educational experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's development and wellbeing.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the needs of children.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating environment for all children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
- Manage daily operations including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining records.
- Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a childcare setting, preferably within a nursery environment.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively.
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided to children.
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are desirable but not essential.
