Estimator – Fire & Electrical
Location: Banstead, Surrey
Salary: £65,000 per annum + Company Car & Fuel Card
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Estimator to join our growing team based in Banstead, Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in fire safety and electrical works who is confident pricing projects, carrying out site visits, and supporting the successful delivery of contracts across both divisions.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for fire protection and electrical projects.
· Produce estimates using SOR (Schedule of Rates) and NHF Schedule of Rates.
· Carry out site surveys and visits to assess project requirements.
· Price works from drawings, specifications, schedules, and client documentation.
· Support the management of estimating functions across both the Fire and Electrical divisions.
· Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
· Work closely with operational teams to ensure estimates are commercially viable and deliverable.
· Maintain accurate estimating records and assist with tender submissions.
About You
· Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction, fire protection, electrical, or building maintenance sectors.
· Strong working knowledge of SOR and NHF Schedule of Rates.
· Experience pricing reactive maintenance, planned works, or refurbishment projects.
· Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
· Excellent commercial awareness with strong attention to detail.
· Strong communication and organisational skills.
· Full UK driving licence, as regular site visits are required.
