Job Summary
Kent Build Ltd are looking for an experienced 2nd Fix Carpenter to join our team on current and upcoming construction projects across Kent, London and the South East.
The role will involve carrying out finishing carpentry works to a high standard, working alongside our site teams and other trades. We are looking for someone reliable, tidy, practical and able to produce good quality finishing work.
Immediate starts available for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Carry out 2nd fix carpentry works on residential and commercial projects
- Install internal doors, frames, linings, architraves, skirting and ironmongery
- Fit kitchens, panels, boxing, shelving and other finishing joinery where required
- Measure, cut, fit and finish carpentry works to a good standard
- Work safely with hand tools, power tools and site equipment
- Read and work from drawings, schedules and site instructions where required
- Work alongside other trades to keep projects moving
- Keep work areas tidy and follow site health and safety requirements
- Report any issues or material requirements to the site manager or project team
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a 2nd Fix Carpenter
- Good knowledge of finishing carpentry and joinery
- Confident fitting doors, skirting, architraves and ironmongery
- Kitchen fitting experience beneficial
- Able to work neatly and accurately
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Own tools required
- Transport required
- CSCS preferred but not essential
