Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our growing independent financial advice firm, as a Financial Services Assistant and Junior Paraplanner.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to closely support a small number of financial advisers with their financial planning duties whilst providing exceptional customer service and becoming a valued and integral member of the team.
You will play a vital part in helping clients achieve their financial goals by helping advisers and clients co-ordinate their diaries, prepare accurate and detailed meeting documentation and ensure all follow up actions are implemented successfully.
This position is ideal for someone eager to develop their career in financial planning as the company will provide support with studying towards relevant industry qualifications and a possible trajectory into a future role of Senior Paraplanner, Practice Manager or Financial Adviser for the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Assist financial planners with preparing detailed reports, analysis, and financial plans tailored to client needs
- Conduct thorough analysis of client data, market information, and financial documents to support decision-making
- Maintain organised records of client information, meeting notes, and compliance documentation using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to gather information, clarify details, and provide updates on their financial plans
- Support the preparation of client presentations and documentation that clearly explain financial strategies and recommendations
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and ensuring timely follow-up on client requests
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the team by demonstrating excellent organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail
Experience
- Previous administrative experience within a financial services or related environment is preferred
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyse complex data accurately
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and IT systems used in financial planning
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
- A proactive attitude with strong customer service skills and good sense of initiative

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
