Joining us on a 6+ month maternity cover contract, you'll play a key role in supporting our infrastructure estate, working across Windows, Azure and virtualised environments while acting as a trusted escalation point for complex technical issues. You'll have the support of an experienced IT team, the autonomy to make an impact and the opportunity to help maintain the systems that keep our business moving.
What you'll do:
In this role, you'll help maintain the stability, security and performance of our infrastructure estate, supporting critical systems across the business.
Manage and support our Windows Server, Hyper-V and Azure environments, ensuring reliability, security and performance.
Act as a senior escalation point for technical issues, taking ownership of complex incidents and driving them through to resolution.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking and platform-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
Monitor infrastructure performance and availability, proactively identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Support our cloud, storage and virtual infrastructure platforms, helping ensure resilience and business continuity.
Implement security, maintenance and patching activities, helping keep systems secure and up to date.
Provide technical guidance to the Service Desk team, supporting knowledge sharing and the resolution of complex tickets.
Contribute to infrastructure improvements and automation opportunities, helping enhance efficiency and service reliability.

Proven experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments across on-premise and cloud platforms.
A highly capable technical troubleshooter who enjoys investigating complex issues and delivering effective long-term solutions.
Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience.
Experience supporting Azure environments and cloud services.
Hands-on experience with Hyper-V or similar virtualisation technologies.
Strong experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, systems and networking issues.
Previous experience acting as a senior technical escalation point.
A strong Infrastructure Engineer or 3rd Line Support background.
A methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving and root cause investigation.
Someone who can work independently, take ownership and quickly become comfortable within an existing environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Microsoft Intune administration experience.
Experience with SAN/NAS storage technologies.
Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
Rubrik backup experience.
Palo Alto Firewall experience.
Experience working within hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.
