We are currently seeking to recruit an Aftersales Trainer at the Ford Academy in Daventry.
The Aftersales Trainer delivers the training offering across the Aftersales Front-line Curriculum, Warranty and Workshop Control, Product and technology, soft skills training and collaborates as part of the wider team for all in house large scale training events. Balanced against this, you will be required to increase delivery productivity, quality, and support with commercial opportunities.
As a Trainer you will exceed the required standards for training performance and course design and therefore work with the wider team and setting a personal example in the delivery of high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver an agreed amount of training days per year with the Head of Learning & Development and lead Commercial Trainer
- Work with the Commercial Training Lead and Learning Performance Teams to ensure a regular programme of courses are available for booking across the Aftersales Front-Line curriculum.
- Successfully delivering against Standards required in the network and against Henry Ford Academy agreed KPI’s.
- Support a robust evaluation process to demonstrate to the Dealer Network that training translates into improved personal and business performance.
- Provide expert support and coaching to the training team on aftersales training programmes.
- Deliver T3 events to Trainers and Associates when required within the aftersales specialism.
- Ensure any required changes are incorporated into training programmes in a timely fashion and in line with the development process.
Research & Development
- Regularly review the Aftersales front-line curriculum to ensure that the Henry Ford Academy training solutions equate to robust and sustainable training outcomes for the Ford Dealer Network.
- Work closely with Ford Dealers, Ford Specialists, Ford of Britain teams, FCSD and the wider Ford Academy team to develop and deliver effective aftersales training services to the dealer network.
- Work with the Development Team to ensure that a high standard of Aftersales front-line training is maintained, sharing research findings and feedback to contribute to an effective curriculum overall.
- Champion the guest experience across all curriculum areas.
- Continually develop a detailed knowledge and awareness of dealer operations, Ford processes and other specialist areas as required.
- Provide professional advice to the Commercial training lead and Head of Learning & Development on specialist areas of the curriculum.
- Regularly assess key aftersales job roles to ensure all key learning objectives are still relevant and being met.
- Work with all key Stakeholders and the Client to ensure that training relates to key business needs.
- Support the Head of Learning & Development in being able to demonstrate a tangible ROI to the Ford Dealer Network and Ford of Britain Training Manager.
Communication
- Collaborate with Communications Team and agree on customer communications to promote courses to the dealer network.
- Ensure the wider Academy team, especially the Learning Performance team, are briefed to confidently advise customers on the most appropriate aftersales programmes or training routes with the curriculum.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate, informative course brief documentation for all aftersales programmes.
- Act as an advocate for the Henry Ford Academy and Ford Brand at all times.
- Work with all Heads of Departments to advise on updates, objectives and market trends within aftersales that could impact current training programmes.
Continuous Improvement and Business Performance
- Contribute to the delivery of The Henry Ford Academy KPIs, budgets and resource objectives.
- Actively focus on personal development and achieving an expert level of industry knowledge and experience.
About You
- University degree or College/further education equivalent advantageous.
- Professional qualification in training or education desirable.
- Mid-Level experience record of training, design, and delivery experience in a training environment, preferably within the aftersales functions of the automotive industry.
- Automotive background very desirable, especially in Aftersales, warranty, product, aftersales management, and leadership.
- A clear understanding of the Aftersales functions and customer experience environments.
- Thorough grasp of the latest developments in the motor, retailing and training industries.
- Demonstrable knowledge of training design, facilitation and delivery processes and procedures.
- Experience with digital learning solutions and tangible ROIs.
- Experience with producing training needs analysis, accreditations and assessment architecture.
- People leadership/management.
- Demonstrable creativity, with an innovative approach to solutions.
- Strong presentation skills (verbal and visual) and ability to work with blended learning solutions.
- Excellent organisational skills.

Salary & Benefits: £40,000-£45,000 dependant on experience.
