Regional Customer Support Manager
Farnham | South East Region
£50,000 – £55,000 per annum + 10% discretionary bonus
Full-Time | 42.5 Hours Per Week

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Regional Customer Support Manager to lead service operations across multiple locations throughout the South East, including London and the surrounding Home Counties.
This is a senior management role suited to someone with a strong background in the construction or heavy equipment sector, who can combine operational leadership with exceptional customer relationship management.
You will oversee the performance of workshop and field engineering teams, support depot operations, and work closely with customers to ensure service delivery standards are consistently achieved.
The role covers responsibility for four regional depots:
- Farnham
- Wrotham
- Burgess Hill
- Totton
Regular travel between sites and customer locations will form a key part of the role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Customer Management
- Build long-term relationships with key customer accounts
- Conduct regular customer site visits across the region
- Resolve customer concerns and service-related issues efficiently
- Support improvements in customer satisfaction and retention
- Work collaboratively with customers to reduce equipment downtime
Operational Leadership
- Manage and support workshop and field engineering teams
- Oversee workshop foremen and engineering staff performance
- Ensure engineers are effectively scheduled and utilised
- Support service response performance and operational targets
- Monitor work in progress and improve operational efficiencies
Commercial Performance
- Support service revenue growth across the region
- Contribute towards achieving budget and profitability targets
- Assist in reducing invoice disputes and improving recovery processes
- Support warranty claim management and service performance reporting
Depot & Compliance Oversight
- Carry out regular depot inspections to maintain high operational standards
- Work closely with management teams to ensure Health & Safety compliance
- Participate in accident investigations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Identify maintenance or facility improvement requirements across sites
Team Development
- Conduct interviews, appraisals, and performance reviews
- Mentor and support engineering teams and apprentices
- Encourage a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture
- Collaborate with internal departments to support business objectives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- At least 10 years’ experience within the construction, plant, or heavy equipment industry
- Previous experience managing engineering or service teams
- Strong customer account management experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness with a solution-focused mindset
- The ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- A well-organised and adaptable approach to work
- Full UK driving licence
Experience working within aftermarket service operations would be highly advantageous.
