We are seeking a professional and safety-conscious Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver to join our transport team. The Role
As a Class 1 Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous chemicals in bulk tankers throughout the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time while adhering to all relevant transport, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Safely transport hazardous chemicals in tanker vehicles to customer sites across the UK.
· Ensure full compliance with ADR regulations and all transport legislation.
· Conduct vehicle and equipment checks before, during, and after journeys.
· Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and compliance records.
· Adhere to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
· Wear and maintain appropriate PPE in accordance with company procedures.
· Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally.
· Communicate effectively with customers, transport planners, and colleagues.
· Follow all company Health & Safety, ISO, and operational procedures.
· Ensure all work is completed to the highest professional standard.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
· Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
· ADR qualification with Classes 8 & 9 as a minimum.
· Previous tanker driving experience.
· Valid Driver CPC qualification.
· Digital Tachograph Card.
· Clean or near-clean driving licence.
· Strong understanding of UK road networks and route planning.
· Excellent awareness of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
· A professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach.
· Desirable Skills
· Previous experience transporting hazardous chemicals.
· Experience working within the chemical manufacturing or industrial sector.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
