Progress Chaser / Quality Control - Accident Repair Centre Sheffield
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive plus bonus
As a progress chase / Quality control at our Accident Repair Centre Sheffield you will support and organise the flow of work through the workshop, acting as the key point of communication between front of house and the workshop team, whilst maintaining a keen and consistent eye on paint and repair quality to ensure vehicles are repaired right first time and ready on schedule.
Your day to day will include:

Carry out quality checks on paintwork and bodywork at key stages of the repair process, identifying and addressing defects before vehicles progress or are handed back to the customer.

Monitor the flow of vehicles through the workshop, tracking job progress against target completion dates.

Act as the main point of contact between front of house and the workshop, relaying job status, changes and customer requirements clearly and promptly.

Chase parts, authorisations, signoffs and any other requirements needed to keep jobs moving and prevent delays.

Update relevant colleagues, including front of house and management, on progress and likely completion dates.

Support the workshop team to meet deadlines, helping reprioritise work where needed to keep jobs on track.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with Health and Safety standards.
What we are looking for:

A good eye for detail, particularly with regard to paint and paintwork quality.

Excellent communication skills, able to liaise confidently between front of house and the workshop team.

Strong organisational skills with a logical and methodical approach to managing workflow.

Ability to remain calm and cope well under pressure to meet deadlines.

A strong team player who works well with colleagues at all levels.
-
Experience in a Bodyshop or paint environment is desirable but not essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

A customer centric approach, always striving to deliver service above customer expectations.

A driving licence free from excessive penalties.
