Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant/ Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate would be available to work part time hours with one of the days being Tuesday. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication administration processes.
Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and labelling medications for patients.
- Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
- Must have previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications.
- As part of this role you will be enrolled onto the Pharmacy Dispenser course
