We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role involves providing exceptional patient care whilst managing front desk duties efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the clinical team and ensuring smooth daily operations within the practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Assist with patient care by preparing treatment rooms and supporting dental procedures as required.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling to optimise daily patient flow.
- Handle all front desk duties including answering phone calls, managing enquiries, and maintaining patient records accurately.
- Ensure all patient information is kept confidential and up-to-date in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Support the clinical team with sterilisation of instruments and maintaining hygiene standards within the practice.
- Process payments and organise billing efficiently using IT systems.
- Maintain a clean, organised reception area to promote a professional environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions.
Experience
- Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to customer service.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing appointments, records, and billing systems.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively between patients and dental professionals.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
