About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused Café Supervisor to join our team at The Crafty Cuppa Café, in the Crafter's Companion store. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the day to day running of the café, lead the team on shift and help create a welcoming environment for every customer. You'll be passionate about delivering excellent service, maintaining high standards and ensuring the café operates smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supervising the day-to-day operation of the café.
- Leading, motivating and supporting the café team.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and leading by example.
- Preparing and serving drinks, light meals and other café products.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation.
- Operating the till and handling cash and card transactions accurately.
- Supporting stock management and helping to minimise waste.
- Monitoring standards and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health and safety and company procedures.
- Supporting the achievement of café sales and performance targets.
- Helping to manage stock, minimise waste and control costs to support profitability.
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Acting as an ambassador for the Crafter's Companion brand by maintaining high standards at all times.
- Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed by the team.
What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering a great customer experience. Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience working in a café, coffee shop or hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, although this isn't essential.
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to motivate others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Confidence handling cash and operating a till.
- A commercially minded approach with an understanding of balancing excellent customer service with business performance.
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and barista experience are desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
