The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services, and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.
ASSISTANT MANAGER - LIFE INSURANCE (PRUDENTIAL SUPERVISION)
An opportunity has arisen at the Authority for the role of Assistant Manager Life Insurance in the Prudential Supervision Division. This role offers a rewarding position for the right candidate, to assist with the supervision of a portfolio of life insurance companies, being part of the team responsible for overseeing a sector that manages over £80bn of policyholder assets.
Relevant industry experience in an operational, compliance, insurance, risk or audit/ accounting role, together with an awareness of the Life Insurance sector, including associated legislation, regulation and guidance, are essential.
The successful candidate should hold, or be willing to work towards, a professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry. Strong analytical skills, a flexible attitude and the ability to quickly and accurately assimilate and present information are all also essential.
