Duties
- Safely handle materials by loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse using manual techniques or forklift trucks.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process orders accurately.
- Pick and pack items meticulously to prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and quality standards are met.
- Stock shelves efficiently by replenishing inventory and organizing products for easy access and retrieval.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods to identify damages or discrepancies.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, stock management, or warehouse operations.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable; mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline inventory processes.
- Strong ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control tasks.
- Ability to load and unload goods efficiently while following safety guidelines.
