Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Event Waiting Staff to join us for a special event at Somerley House on Saturday, 1st August. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing attentive and courteous service to ensure the event runs smoothly and guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Greet and interact with guests
- Create a welcoming environment for guests, assess their needs and make recommendations
- Assist with set-up and clear-down of events
- Set the tables and ensure the excellent overall presentation of the event
- Present and explain the menu to guests
- Deliver food during dinner service
- Serving drinks to guests throughout the day
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Apply all food and beverage safety and quality regulations
- Assist with any additional duties as directed by the event management team to ensure a seamless experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant service is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and good hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable, and attentive to guest needs
- Experience with food preparation or guest services in hotel or culinary settings is advantageous
- Must be available on Saturday, 18th April, for the duration of the event
Candidates with hospitality or catering backgrounds, including those with hotel experience or culinary expertise, will find this role particularly suitable. A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences are essential for success in this position.

Pay: £9.00-£12.21 per hour
