Job Summary
Oxford Event Hire is looking for a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. You’ll be responsible for transporting event equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and strong communication with both customers and our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver equipment to various venues.
- Load and unload items safely, ensuring secure transportation.
- Perform routine vehicle checks to maintain safety and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including times, locations, and any discrepancies.
- Assist in the warehouse when required (sorting, organising, cleaning, loading/unloading vehicles).
Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence and strong driving skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Strong organisational skills to manage deliveries efficiently.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.

Position:
Delivery Driver - Temporary
Hours:
Minimum of 24 hours per week.
Monday, Thursday & Friday - 7.00am to 3.30pm (approx)
Overtime and occasional weekends available.
Salary:
£13-14 per hour plus holiday
