Job Summary
Join our friendly, family based team as a Swimming Teacher and inspire confidence and a love for water in learners of all ages and skill levels! In this enjoyable role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote safety, skill development and be a role model for those learning to swim . This position would be suitable for either a newly qualified teacher of someone that already has experience. Our team of teachers will support you as you develop into one of our team members. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while fostering a safe and fun aquatic environment.
Duties
- Deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to a range of abilities and goals
- Demonstrate good swimming techniques, safety protocols, and water survival skills
- Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing pool rules and supervising all activities
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members about progress and concerns
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, clean, and ready for use at each session
Skills
- Knowledge of methods of teaching and developing swimming, water safety practices, rescue procedures,
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and instruct learners of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Ability to demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all interactions
- Ability to perform technically correct, demonstrations, assist swimmers to develop through progressive and corrective practices
- Ability to deliver engaging lessons that cater to different skill levels and learning styles
