Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by following directions from chefs and kitchen supervisors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including counters, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination
- Help with inventory management by storing ingredients properly and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Serve food efficiently during meal times, ensuring timely delivery to customers or dining areas
- Support the team in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety guidelines and reporting hazards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred but not required
- Strong interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
