Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cleaner to join our team at Waresley Park Garden Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of our facilities, ensuring a safe and inviting environment for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cleaning and custodial services, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across all areas of the garden centre, including floors, windows, restrooms, and public spaces.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when required, including deep cleans of storage or maintenance areas.
- Support general facilities maintenance duties, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- All necessary training will be provided.
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial roles. (Desirable)
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures and industrial cleaning practices. (Desirable)
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or upkeep.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The expected hours for this role are 0800-1100, on two weekday shifts and every other weekend.
