What you'll be doing:
- Providing strategic, clinical, professional, and operational leadership for the Children's Long-Term Ventilation Team
- Working autonomously as an expert children's nurse, delivering specialist clinical advice, support, and care to children and young people with complex long-term ventilation needs
- Leading on assessments and reviews to ensure every package of care delivers the very best outcomes for children and families while demonstrating excellent value for money and effective use of resources
- Combining strong clinical expertise with sound business acumen to ensure services remain sustainable, innovative, and responsive to changing demands
- Championing high-quality, culturally sensitive care that empowers children, young people, and families, promoting independence and preventing unnecessary reliance on services wherever appropriate

- Provide inspiring leadership across the Children's Long-Term Ventilation Team, delivering clear clinical, professional, and operational direction that drives excellence in care
- Lead the development and oversight of complex care packages , ensuring children and young people requiring long-term ventilation and tracheostomy support receive personalised, compassionate, and effective care
- Champion outstanding clinical standards , promoting safe, evidence-based, and child-centred practice that delivers the very best outcomes for children and their families
- Oversee the operational management of the service , including caseload allocation, workforce planning, and service coordination to ensure a responsive and efficient service
- Build strong partnerships with acute hospitals, community services, education providers, social care teams, and other key stakeholders to deliver seamless, integrated care across pathways
- Develop and empower staff , providing supervision, mentoring, and professional leadership that supports a skilled, confident, and resilient workforce
- Drive quality improvement and innovation , leading clinical governance, risk management, service development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Influence the future of children's complex care , contributing to local, regional, and national developments within long-term ventilation and specialist children's services
