Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Practicing Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. Duties
- Prepare, analyse, and interpret complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage corporate accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries using advanced accounting software like Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, and Quicken.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with securities law, governmental regulations, and internal policies.
- Perform financial report writing and interpretation to support strategic decision-making; develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses for various departments or projects.
- Mentor junior staff members by providing guidance on technical accounting issues
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements; communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) designation with active practicing license.
- Proven experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or governmental accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas such as compliance, regulatory reporting, and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately; experience in financial report writing and presentation is preferred.
- Effective mentoring skills with a passion for developing team members’ technical capabilities.
