We are seeking an experienced, proactive and commercially minded Junior HR Business Partner to join our fast-paced professional services organisation and play a key role in supporting its people strategy. This role would be an ideal fit for a Senior HR Advisor looking for their next step or an existing Junior HRBP looking for an exciting role within a successfully growing business.
This is a broad and varied generalist HR role, ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers and stakeholders, providing practical and credible advice across the full employee lifecycle. This role requires a candidate who is confident and experienced using management information (MI), data and analytics to identify trends, provide insight and influence key business decisions.
You will work closely with the HR Manager and other HR professionals to deliver high-quality HR support, strengthen people practices and contribute to key HR initiatives in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. The role is for someone with experience in a busy professional services environment, that has an emphasis on people and collaboration.
Salary: Up to £40,000
Location: Southend
Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days working from home
Duties and responsibilities
- Providing professional, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers across the employee lifecycle.
- Supporting, coaching and guiding managers with employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, welfare and performance cases.
- Advising on HR policies, procedures and processes, ensuring compliance.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnering with managers to support effective people management and business performance.
- Analysing HR MI, people data and KPIs and identifying trends and translating data into meaningful insight and recommendations that support and influence the business.
- Development of HR dashboards, reporting and people metrics.
- Assisting with recruitment and attraction activity, including pre-screening, interview coordination, salary benchmarking and employer branding.
- Supporting reward and compensation activity, including pay reviews, bonus administration and market benchmarking.
- Preparing accurate HR documentation, contracts, letters and employee correspondence.
- Supporting onboarding, payroll-related processes and wider HR administration.
- Supporting continuous improvement of HR processes, policies and practices.
- Supporting learning and development initiatives and identifying development needs across the business.
- Supporting employee engagement activities, including surveys, focus groups and feedback initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor/Junior HR Business Partner/generalist HR role.
- A CIPD level 5 or equivalent
- Strong practical experience managing employee relations cases, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
- Strong MI, data analytics and reporting capability, with the ability to turn people data into clear insight and actionable recommendations.
- Experience using HR systems, HR metrics and KPIs to inform business decisions and identify trends.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate, analyse and present HR data effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and advise managers at different levels.
- The ability to operate at pace, prioritise competing demands and maintain accuracy in a busy professional services environment.
- Exposure and previous experience within a professional services environment.
