Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team at Haus on the Hill. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a flair for creativity in food preparation.
You will play a vital role in managing the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food production and presentation, while also fostering a positive team environment.

You will either be an experienced CDP looking to make the next step in your career or a Junior Sous seeking more responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring efficient food production.
- Help prepare and cook high-quality dishes.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Participate in menu planning, including developing new recipes and specials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with bar staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an experienced CDP or Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry, ideally within pubs.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
