Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years one-to-one SEN Support to join our team. Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the individual needs of children aged 2-4 with special educational needs.
- Assist children during activities, play, and routines to promote social interaction and emotional well-being
- Implement individualised learning plans and strategies under the guidance of managers, SENCo and specialists
- Support communication development through various techniques and tools suited to the child's abilities
- Observe and record progress, behavioral responses, and any concerns to inform ongoing support plans
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and independence
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or care settings, particularly within early years or preschool environments highly desirable
- Prior experience supporting individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learning needs highly desirable
- Hands-on experience working with toddlers or very young children in care or teaching roles
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and families
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners’ development
