Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager with mechanical or electrical engineering experience to lead and optimise our manufacturing operations. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily production activities, ensure operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, supervisory experience, and high standards of quality and safety while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
- Supervise technical teams, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and safety protocols
- Develop and implement operational strategies that improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation
- Implement a system of planned maintenance schedules for mechanical and electrical equipment to minimise downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Manage workflow planning, scheduling, and inventory control to meet production targets
- Foster a collaborative team environment by providing leadership, mentorship, and training opportunities
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management to inform decision-making
Experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food supplement or related industries
- Strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering principles relevant to manufacturing equipment and processes
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team development and operational excellence
- Experience in managing maintenance programs and troubleshooting technical issues
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing settings
- Proficient IT skills

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
