Rebound Care and Support are seeking to recruit flexible experienced female paediatric brain injury support workers to support our client. Our client is a 9-year-old girl who lives with her parents and siblings. Our client has got cerebral palsy, a visual impairment and epilepsy.
Our client lives in Lichfield, and you will be working on 1:1 basis. The role will focus on providing personalised support in school (as a TA, rehab assistant, carer) and at home - to enhance her independence, daily structure, respecting boundaries, wellbeing and making sure our clients’ needs are met at all times. Our client is looking for someone cheerful, caring, and confident to accompany her to and in the school. You will be part of a rehabilitation team so enthusiasm a must. Our client occasionally will go on holidays; ideal candidate should be willing to accompany the client on occasional trips abroad.
Due to the client needs we are seeking for energetic and active females only, who have experience in epilepsy, managing seizures, who can drive and have access to their own vehicle.
Hours
Monday to Friday – 8.30am - 6.30pm
Pay
£17 p/h
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments
- Assist individuals to improve their quality of life.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach.
- Assist service users attend health activities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day.
- The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with BI clients, epilepsy, seizures, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
