Light, our skyline restaurant at Eastbourne’s Towner Gallery, is the proud holder of an AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence, recognised for its refined contemporary cuisine, high-quality local ingredients, and exceptional dining experiences. We are passionate about innovation, precision, and delivering memorable dishes that reflect both the creativity and the skill of our chefs.
The Role
We are looking for a talented and driven Chef de Partie, capable of running a section to a high standard and of contributing to our rolling menu development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Run and manage your designated section with confidence and precision
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
· Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards at all times
· Support junior team members and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
· Assist in our menu development & contribute ideas
· Work closely with the Head Chef to further improve the quality of our offer and gain further accolades for the restaurant
What We’re Looking For:
· Previous experience as a Chef de Partie
· Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
· Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy kitchen
· A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
· Passion for fresh, seasonal, local, and high-quality ingredients
· Robust knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
