Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (EBD)
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Registered Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of our children's residential home, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding, individualised care, keeping the service fully compliant with regulatory requirements, and managing a team of support workers. Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the residential care team, ensuring staff are well-trained, motivated, and delivering person-centred care
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Oversee daily operations within the home, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff alike
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and standards governing children's residential services
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as necessary
- Manage medication administration safely and accurately, in line with prescribed protocols where required
- Liaise with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate holistic support for each child
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory requirements
- Supervise staff performance through regular appraisals and provide ongoing training to develop team skills
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement centred on safeguarding children's welfare
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong management background, with experience supervising staff in a care home or similar setting
- Proven experience in a children's residential care setting
- Sound knowledge of care planning processes, rotas and medication administration protocols
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive working environment
- Familiarity with the regulations governing children's residential services and safeguarding procedures
- NVQ Level 5 in Children's Residential Care (or working towards it) is essential
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues

Pay: £55,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
