Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient safety and an understanding of medication administration processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of medications.
- Assist in the medication administration process under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure that the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Support the training of new staff members as required.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care.
