Job Introduction
We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Estate and Environmental Caretaker to help maintain and improve the Swarcliffe Estate, ensuring our neighbourhoods remain clean, safe, and welcoming for customers.
You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality estate services, coordinating estate activities, monitoring standards, and helping the team provide an excellent customer experience.

What you'll be doing
Supporting the Estate and Environmental Team Leader, you'll help coordinate the day-to-day delivery of estate services across Swarcliffe.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting and supervising Estate Caretakers and daily activities

Carrying out estate inspections, patrols, cleaning, and estate management duties

Coordinating and monitoring repairs, maintenance works, void clearances, and environmental projects

Investigating and reporting environmental issues, service failures, and estate concerns

Supporting estate audits and compliance inspections

Promoting safe working practices and ensuring health and safety compliance

Providing cover for the Estate and Environmental Team Leader when required
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines practical estate management, customer service, and team support responsibilities.
What we're looking for

You'll have:

Experience in housing, estates, caretaking, facilities management, or a similar environment

Experience supervising or supporting colleagues

Strong customer service and communication skills

The ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partners

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

A proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery

Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
-
A full UK driving licence and confidence driving commercial vehicles
