We specialise in producing high-quality handmade desserts that are stylish, innovative and delicious. Our products are handcrafted, frozen and supplied wholesale to customers across the industry.
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Evening Patisserie Bakery Production Assistant / Baker to join our team in a busy bakery production environment.
The role
This is a hands-on role within our bakery, helping to prepare and bake a range of products from basic ingredients through to the finished baked stage. You will support the day-to-day running of production, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and work closely with the Head Baker and wider team.
This role would suit someone who has a genuine passion for baking, food production and culinary arts, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As this is a physically demanding role, a good level of fitness is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and baking of a range of bakery and dessert products
- Support the Head Baker and wider bakery team with daily production tasks
- Follow recipes, production schedules and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic bakery environment
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient handling
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Provide support in other areas of the bakery when required
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen or food production environment is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate
- A passion for baking, food preparation and working with quality ingredients
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe working practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A positive, reliable and hard-working attitude
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods and carrying out manual bakery tasks
