Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and ensuring customers enjoy a welcoming experience. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialised drinks according to company standards
- Handle food safety procedures diligently, ensuring all health regulations are adhered to
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately and efficiently
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling light snacks or accompaniments
- Ensure timely order fulfilment by managing multiple tasks effectively during busy periods
- Uphold organisational standards by restocking supplies and maintaining stock levels
Skills
- Proven barista experience in an extremely busy café
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
- Effective time management to prioritise tasks during peak hours
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service
- Good organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and well-stocked
