About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection, transportation, and return of Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) containers from customer sites back to our yard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
This role involves operating RoRo vehicles, conducting daily vehicle checks, and maintaining excellent customer service standards while representing the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 RoRo vehicle.
- Collect and exchange RoRo containers from customer sites.
- Transport loaded and empty containers to and from the company yard.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
- Ensure all loads are secured and transported in accordance with legal requirements.
- Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and road transport regulations.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with customers and site personnel.
- Keep vehicles clean and presentable.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Preferably previous RoRo, skip, waste management, or container experience preferred but not essential.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
