Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lifting Equipment Stores Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be overseeing the small lifting equipment. Working under the Lifting & Safety Manager to support daily stores operations and lifting equipment stock control. You will be inspecting equipment before and after the hire period, organising the stores room and controlling stock levels. Inspections will mainly be carried out at the depot, although there may be some on-site inspections due to customer requirements. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all lifting equipment parts, tools, and accessories in the stores area.
- Conduct inspections of stored lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs, servicing, and calibration of lifting machinery as needed.
- Receive, document, and organize incoming equipment supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Track equipment usage and lifecycle to facilitate timely replacements and upgrades.
- Ensure all stored lifting equipment adheres to safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in preparing reports related to inventory levels, equipment condition, and safety audits.
- Preparing jobs ordered and working collaboratively with yard operatives.
Experience
- Knowledge of lifting equipment types, components, and safety standards (e.g. LOLER regulations)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and compliance documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.

Desired
- Ideally a level 1 LEEA qualification
- Experience with lifting equipment
- Experience in stock control/inventory management
- Driving License
- FLT License

Pay: £14.00 per hour
