Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator to join our skilled machining team in Poole.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value precision components in a clean, well-equipped workshop where craftsmanship, quality and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
Duties
- Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC Turning Centres.
- Writing and editing Mazatrol and ISO programmes.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Selecting tooling, fixtures and machining strategies.
- Producing components to tight tolerances.
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections.
- Using precision measuring equipment to verify quality.
- Optimising tooling and machining processes to improve cycle times.
- Working closely with colleagues to continually improve production efficiency.
- Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating & programming CNC turning machines with a solid understanding of machining principles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machine tools, tooling setups, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with CAD software an advantage.
- Experience with Mazak machinery an advantage.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Inspection experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Experience within an ISO9001 manufacturing environment.
