Make a Difference That Lasts
Some jobs are about getting through the day. This one is about helping a young person move forward.
At Liberi Care, we provide therapeutic, trauma-informed care for children and young people aged 10-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Our Ofsted-registered homes are designed to be places where young people feel safe, understood and supported to build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.
We're looking for Children's Residential Support Workers who want more than just a job. We want people who care about the difference they can make, enjoy building meaningful relationships and want to develop a career in residential childcare.
You don't need to have years of residential care experience. If you have transferable experience from education, SEN, youth work, social care or a similar setting, we'll give you the training, guidance and support to succeed.
Why Liberi Care?
We believe outstanding care starts with people who feel valued, supported and given the opportunity to grow.
When you join us, you'll receive:
- £28,000 - £29,000 salary per annum
- Full-time, permanent employment
- A stable long-day shift pattern
- Comprehensive induction and specialist therapeutic childcare training
- Ongoing supervision, reflective practice and professional development
- Clear progression into Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager and Registered Manager roles
- Supportive and experienced leadership
- A positive, collaborative and values-led working environment
- The opportunity to build a genuine long-term career with a growing organisation
- The chance to make a lasting difference to young people's lives
What You'll Be Doing
You'll become a trusted and consistent adult in the lives of the young people you support.
Working alongside an experienced team, you'll help create a safe, structured and nurturing home where young people can feel secure and develop the skills and confidence they need for the future.
Your role will include:
- Providing emotional, practical and social support based on each young person's individual needs
- Supporting everyday routines including education, meals, appointments and activities
- Helping young people develop independence and essential life skills
- Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and resilience
- Acting as a keyworker and contributing to care plans and placement objectives
- Using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to support positive behaviour and emotional development
- Creating a welcoming, safe and nurturing home environment
- Maintaining accurate records in line with Ofsted requirements and organisational policies
- Taking part in team meetings, supervision and reflective practice
- Continuing to develop your skills through training and professional development
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are compassionate, resilient, dependable and genuinely committed to helping young people thrive.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience supporting children or young people in residential care, social care, education, SEN, youth work or a similar environment
- A child-centred approach and strong sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- An understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and trauma-informed practice
- A commitment to working full-time within a residential childcare setting
It would also be beneficial if you have:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs
- A full UK driving licence
Most importantly, we're looking for the right values and attitude. If you're committed to making a difference, we'll support you with the training and development you need to succeed.
Why This Work Matters
The impact you make won't always be obvious straight away.
It might be helping a young person manage a difficult day, celebrating a small achievement, encouraging them to try something new or simply being the consistent adult they know they can rely on.
Those moments matter.
At Liberi Care, you'll have the opportunity to help young people build confidence, resilience, independence and the belief that their future can be different.
And while you're helping them grow, we'll help you grow too.
