Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the definition and delivery of digital change within the Banking's agile delivery framework. Acting as the voice of the customer and the business, you will own the product backlog for a cross-functional engineering lab, shape and sequence change against measurable outcomes, and ensure delivery lands safely within the governance, risk and regulatory expectations of a major UK bank.
What You Would Do in This Role
· Product Vision & Backlog: Own, refine and prioritise the product backlog; translate strategy into clear epics and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, always sequenced by customer and business value.
· Agile Change Management: Lead change through agile ways of working — shaping initiatives, managing cross-team dependencies and guiding change through the Group’s change frameworks and approval gates.
· Delivery Leadership: Work day to day with engineering, design and QA to plan sprints, remove blockers, accept stories and maintain a predictable, high-quality flow of delivery.
· Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships across business units, platform teams, risk and compliance; communicate progress, trade-offs and decisions with clarity and confidence.
· Customer & Data Focus: Use customer insight, analytics and experimentation to inform priorities; define and track OKRs and KPIs that evidence outcomes, not just output.
· Governance & Risk: Ensure change is delivered in line with regulatory obligations and Group policies, with appropriate controls, audit trails and engagement of second-line functions.
· Continuous Improvement: Champion agile maturity within the lab — improving ways of working, shortening feedback loops and fostering a culture of learning and ownership.
