Our warm, busy nursery in East Sheen is looking for a caring Nursery Housekeeper to keep our setting clean, safe and welcoming for the children in our care. It's a varied, hands-on role - looking after our rooms, kitchen, laundry and play spaces so the nursery runs smoothly every day.
Hours: 10.00am–7.00pm Monday to Friday
Pay: £13 per hour
Your day-to-day
- Cleaning and tidying classrooms, hallways, offices, staff rooms and reception areas around the nursery routine
- Disinfecting tables, chairs, shelves, toys, play equipment, windows and doors
- Keeping children's toilets, sinks and nappy-changing areas hygienic, and supplies (soap, paper towels) topped up
- Supporting the cook with kitchen and food-area hygiene
- Managing the nursery laundry – bedding, towels, bibs and dress-up clothes
- Washing and disinfecting toys and play mats with the nursery team, reporting anything broken
- Keeping outdoor areas tidy – bins, litter checks and play equipment
- Following our health and safety policies, using child-safe products, and keeping all supplies locked away from children
What we're looking for
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally in a nursery, school or care setting (desirable, not essential)
- Great attention to detail and genuine pride in your work
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently
- A caring, friendly manner – you'll be part of a team and around children all day
