Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to schedules and routes.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Secure loads appropriately on the flatbed to prevent movement during transit.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
- Maintain communication with the dispatch team regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including securing loads on flatbeds.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in delivery driving is highly desirable, along with knowledge of local routes and logistics management.
