We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and caring Early Years Practitioner to join our team. This is a part time role, across three days per week working an 8am to 6pm shift pattern. The role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development, and who naturally provides a warm, nurturing environment where children can flourish.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding practices and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate integrity, compassion, and empathy when working with children and families.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work independently, use initiative, and effectively prioritise tasks.
- Have a positive, confident, and approachable manner.
- Have at least two years’ experience in a similar role and be able to act as a positive role model within the team.
The Role
You will provide support across all nursery rooms during staff holidays and periods of absence, ensuring continuity of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0–4 years.

You will be highly motivated, enjoy working with babies and young children, and be committed to making a meaningful difference in their early years.

Key Responsibilities
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

- Planning, delivering, and evaluating a range of play-based learning experiences aligned with the nursery curriculum.
- Monitoring children’s progress and helping them achieve age-appropriate developmental goals.
- Delivering activities both independently and with small groups of children.
- Supporting the overall development and wellbeing of every child in your care.
