Now Education is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Chepstow from September. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD).

The Role
Working closely with Teachers and other support staff, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Supporting pupils' learning, communication, and social development.
- Encouraging engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Assisting with classroom organisation and lesson preparation.
- Managing behaviour positively and effectively.
- Supporting pupils with personal care needs, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene where required.
- Building positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued, and supported.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Patient, adaptable, and resilient.
- Experienced in working with SEN, disabilities, care, support work, or similar settings.
- Strong team players with excellent communication skills.
- Available between 1 and 5 days per week, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm).
Manual Handling training is desirable but not essential.
