About the Role:
At Solsona Logistics & Distribution Ltd in Alloa, Scotland, we keep businesses moving through reliable logistics coordination, efficient distribution planning, and responsive customer service. We work with suppliers, transport providers, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure goods reach their destinations safely and on schedule. We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who can take ownership of day-to-day transportation and distribution activities. You will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and customers, monitor delivery schedules, and help resolve operational issues before they affect service levels.

Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination: Organize incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinate collection and delivery schedules, and ensure transportation arrangements are confirmed accurately.
Delivery Management: Monitor deliveries from dispatch through completion. Track shipment progress, identify delays, and communicate updates to customers and internal teams.
Carrier Communication: Liaise with transport providers, drivers, suppliers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and maintain reliable service.
Documentation and Records: Prepare and maintain delivery notes, shipment records, transport documentation, and system updates. Ensure information is accurate and available when required.
Problem Solving: Respond quickly to delivery delays, missing documentation, scheduling changes, and other operational issues. Work with relevant teams to find practical solutions.
Customer Service: Provide clear and professional communication to customers regarding delivery times, shipment status, and changes to planned schedules.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transport coordination, distribution, supply chain administration, or a similar operational role. Experience coordinating multiple shipments or delivery schedules is highly desirable.
Organization: You are highly organized and comfortable managing several priorities at the same time. You pay close attention to dates, delivery details, documentation, and follow-up actions.
Communication: You can communicate confidently with customers, suppliers, carriers, drivers, and internal colleagues. You know how to provide clear updates when plans change.
Systems: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and logistics, inventory, transport management, or order processing systems. Strong Excel skills would be an advantage.
Problem Solving: You remain calm when schedules change or unexpected issues arise. You are able to assess a situation, prioritize the most important action, and follow through to resolution.
Mindset: You are dependable, practical, and proactive. You take ownership of your responsibilities, work well with others, and understand that successful logistics depends on accuracy, communication, and timely execution.
Pay: £2,135.00-£3,000.00 per month
