Overview
We are seeking a skilled and innovative E&I Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of advanced systems, ensuring that projects meet both technical specifications and client requirements. This position requires a strong foundation in electrical & instrument engineering and proficiency in various design software tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Create technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for electrical systems and equipment
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the most effective design solutions
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members to ensure that all designs meet project requirements and specifications
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including ATEX and DSEAR
- Provide technical support to other team members and clients as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed
- Keep up-to-date with advances in technology, industry regulations, and best practices
- Adhere to project timelines and budgets
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with clients
- May be required to travel to various sites in the UK
Qualifications / Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, ) for creating precise designs
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience working as an E&I Design Engineer Industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical / instrument systems and equipment, including ATEX and DSEAR, BS600-79, CompEx, and UK 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
