Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, and all areas to promote a healthy environment for animals
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering basic care under supervision
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report observations promptly
- Support staff with laboratory tasks such as sample collection or processing when needed
- Help with daily activity routines including exercise, enrichment, and socialization of animals
- Ensure proper documentation of animal health records and incident reports
- Support the overall organization of the facility by restocking supplies and managing waste disposal efficiently
Requirements
- Previous Kennel experience or familiarity with animal health practices is highly preferred
- Laboratory experience is a plus, especially related to handling all animals in a safe manner.
- Strong passion for animal welfare with a caring and attentive demeanor
- Ability to work in a physically active environment, including standing, bending, and lifting moderate loads
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Reliable, detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness
