We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Counter Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with medication advice and support patient care activities. Responsibilities
- Greet customers courteously and provide assistance at the pharmacy counter
- Support patient with advice and counter products
- Assist patients with medication collection, ensuring proper identification and documentation
- Provide information on over-the-counter products and health-related questions within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and patient interactions
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the counter area
- Support medication administration procedures under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth patient care delivery
Requirements
- Previous pharmacy assistantexperience is essential
- knowledge of medication and patient care
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions and record keeping
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in healthcare and supporting patient well-being
- Flexibility to work during pharmacy opening hours
- Computer literate
