Job Overview
Lingotot introduces children aged 0-11 to new languages through interactive stories, songs, games and play. We deliver high-quality language sessions across community centres, nurseries, schools, holiday camps and after-school clubs.
All lesson plans and teaching resources are fully provided, allowing you to focus purely on teaching without the hassle of prep work.
We require a minimum of two afternoons a week from 3pm-4pm in term time, however there are many other opportunities available such as day-time work and holiday time work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classes. Lead fun, high-energy language sessions for babies, toddlers, and primary-aged children.
- Follow curriculum. Use the proven Lingotot programme to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
- Community relations. Maintain positive, professional relationships with school staff.
- Set up and organise. Manage classroom organisation, games and teaching props safely.
Requirements
- Language fluency. High level of competence in French and English is essential. Competence in Spanish would be beneficial.
- Energy. Enthusiastic, creative and happy to sing and dance with young learners.
- Reliable transport. Access to your own vehicle is essential, as classes are spread across South Tyneside.
- Independence. Punctual, professional, and capable of leading a classroom independently,
- Vetting. Must be suitable to work with children. Enhanced DBS check required.
